March Madness is not just about basketball-forgot to hit post back in March, so here it is....posted in September...oopsie daisy!

Without whining too severely about the seemingly unending winter does everybody else find it as maddening?  We are all plugging away with our day to day routines doing our best to find optimism in the fact that it is March.  March means many things.

  1. It means spring is right around the corner. Really! I mean it!
  2. Days are longer and for the most part warmer
  3. It means if we haven't established our swimsuit ready physique, I, er, I mean we, better get busy!
  4. Have you finished that "winter project"? You know, that closet clean out, kitchen re-organization, clothing and toy purge?  Yep, time to giterdone.
  5. It is time to start planning gardens!!!
  6. It is my dads birthday, my grandmas birthday, my cousin, Bridget's birthday, and Al's best friend's birthday.
  7. Carlos gets stir crazy and is a ball of energy
  8. Baseball clinics and practice begin which is a relief for previously mentioned ball of energy.
  9. and of course, March Madness Basketball brackets, which are so much fun!
Today is is bright sunny and happy here.  I have Tyler Florence's Ultimate Sloppy Joe's on the stove simmering away for lunch and later this afternoon I am making a modified Thanksgiving dinner.  Every Thanksgiving we wonder why we don't roast a turkey and make stuffing any other time of the year.  I am making a turkey breast in the crock pot - so easy and really good!

We always seem to have some sort of home improvement project in the hopper or underway.  Currently, it is the never-ending brick project on the outside of our home.  The stone contractor has been delayed many, many times due to weather and now because after removing the old brick there was a portion that had been damaged by water and there are things that require repair.  So thankfully I have this guy to do the necessary repairs, instead of the sub-contractor who quoted us $800 to do the work.

What kind of March Madness are you experiencing?  And most of all, what are you doing or relief?
