Mother's Day Brunch
I don't think I know too many mothers that would, by choice COOK on Mother's Day, let alone be trying several new recipes. But why be like everybody else I always say. So here is what I will be serving my family (unfortunately my mom and her husband live out of town and won't be here, but we will definitely be calling! ):
Smoked Salmon Frittata
Leek and Canadian Bacon Quiche
Really good thick bacon
Blueberry Muffins
Mashed Potato Cakes
Mixed Berries over pound cake with whipped cream
Mimosas
and my sister-in-law is bringing a chicken caesar salad.
My trouble is always timing, but after consulting with our friend, Wayne, we worked a great timeline and I will pre-bake the quiche, and cook the bacon about 2/3 through and finish Sunday before we eat. I am making the mashed potatoes for the cakes on Saturday too, then just pat them out in dried bread crumbs Sunday a.m. I am excited to try the new recipes. They are all new except the muffins. I will post recipes AFTER I make sure they rock!
Happy Mother's Day Weekend!

Just reading your menu makes me feel STARVED! Sure wish I could be there. How about packing it up and bringing it to Bayfield? (just wishful thinking) I think your assortment looks better than any restaurant.
