Basking in Victory-thanks Bekah!

My friend, Bekah from Ohio, called yesterday to giggle and be excited (as did my Mona from Utah!) and before Bekah and I hung up she said bask in your victory!! I thought, why not? It was such a fun experience! I got to see the "green room" which as I think everyone knows is *not* green. The other contestant, Sheilah, was the sweetest lady and was equally as excited to be a part of the contest. We worked very well together and were able to get all of our ingredients all set up without struggle. Our "set" was in a separate studio from where they do the news so it was very dark except for the lights above the studio. The time just flew by so quickly! Before we knew it Tom Butler, the anchor was over introducing himself and getting ready to start our segment. It was just fascinating to me to see how the newscast works. The cameras are all remote control and the cameramen were in a booth somewhere. There was a woman at teeny desk with a computer who was responsible for the teleprompter and a couple of producers and directors. Very cool, I must say. They practically had to drag me out of there! Well not really. It was a great experience and it would be so great to do it again! Jamie? See my little Italian bowl? I had you there with me!
